Subtitle Wand is built so that your videos stay on your Mac. This page lists everything we do collect, why, and who else sees it. Subtitle Wand is made by Ardent Research, Inc., [ADDRESS], which is responsible for this data.
What stays on your Mac
Your video files, their frames and audio never leave your Mac. Reading subtitles, recognizing speech and rendering the exported video all happen on your Mac. Your projects, the lines found in them and the exported files are stored on your Mac only.
What we collect

The app has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not send its own crash reports. If you choose to share crash reports with app developers in macOS settings, Apple may pass reports about Subtitle Wand crashes to us. They contain technical details about the crash, not your videos.
Who else handles your data
- Anthropic translates the subtitle text. Anthropic's commercial terms do not allow it to train models on this text. It may keep requests for a limited time under its own policy, for example to detect abuse. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Supabase hosts our server and database, including your email address, job records and balance.
- Paddle runs checkout as our merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details, billing address and email to process the payment and tax. We never see your card number. See Paddle's privacy policy.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The checkout page loads Paddle's script, which may set cookies needed to process your payment.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data. Email support@subtitlewand.com from the address on your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to some processing or to complain to your data protection authority.
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
Children
Subtitle Wand is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app first.
